Starlink Mobile

Starlink Mobile is SpaceX’s cellular connectivity service, combining direct-to-cell satellites with terrestrial mobile infrastructure to extend voice and data coverage beyond conventional network footprints. It currently works with compatible existing LTE phones through partnerships with mobile network operators, allowing subscribers to connect where traditional cellular coverage is unavailable. SpaceX is also developing a more capable satellite constellation and a U.S. terrestrial 5G network, with Qualcomm supplying radio, baseband and software platforms for a rollout planned from 2027. The service targets mobile users and network operators seeking broader coverage and continuity between satellite and ground-based networks.
