It operates through four segments: Fine Mechatronics, Mechatronics Systems, Distribution Equipment Systems, and Real Estate Leasing. The company offers cleaning, etching, ashing, semiconductor inspection, and bonding equipment; slice etching, developing, stripping, and panel spin cleaning equipment, as well as IC/COF bonder for flat panel display; sputtering, deposition, and precision parts manufacturing equipment; automatic ticket vending machines; and inkjet tablet printing systems. It also engages in the leasing of office buildings and lands; maintenance, overhauls, machine management, and repair services; engineering service for transfer and setup; parts cleaning, surface treatment and evaluation, and analysis services. The company was formerly known as Shibaura Engineering Works Co., Ltd. and changed its name to Shibaura Mechatronics Corporation in October 1998. Shibaura Mechatronics Corporation was incorporated in 1939 and is headquartered in Yokohama, Japan.
