Plastiks is a web3 protocol centered around the PLASTIK token. The PLASTIK token is a blockchain-backed guarantee of payment that ensures transparency, accountability, and traceability in plastic credit transactions. When plastic credits are sold, 80% of the value is delivered in PLASTIK tokens to the recovery entity as collateral. Funds are only released in fiat (USD or EUR) once the full roadmap of credits is completed, preventing misuse and guaranteeing that buyers’ contributions generate the intended positive environmental impact.
