Phoenix Power Company SAOG owns, designs, develops, constructs, operates, maintains, finances, and insures power generating stations, associated gas interconnection facilities, and other related infrastructure in the Sultanate of Oman. It owns, operates, and maintains the Sur Independent Power Plant, a gas-fired combined cycle power facility with an installed capacity of 2,000 megawatts located in the Sur industrial area, southeast of Muscat. The company was incorporated in 2011 and is based in Muscat, the Sultanate of Oman.
