Has Qivalis launched its euro stablecoin?

No. The license authorizes Qivalis to issue electronic money tokens, but issuance has not started. The company must still satisfy applicable MiCA requirements, including publishing its white paper.

Orbitrum Investor Impact

Why does the Dutch license matter for Qivalis?

The authorization removes a major regulatory barrier to Qivalis entering Europe's blockchain-based payments and settlement market. Its planned distribution through banks, exchanges and payment providers could generate business activity, but customer adoption and expected transaction volumes remain undisclosed.

What role do the 37 European banks play?

The banks form a consortium spanning 15 European countries, giving Qivalis potential access to an extensive institutional distribution network. Consortium membership does not establish that every bank will distribute or use the stablecoin.

How will the Qivalis stablecoin work?

Qivalis plans a euro-denominated token backed 1:1 by euro reserves for blockchain payments and settlement. Under MiCA, electronic money token holders have redemption rights at face value, and the tokens cannot pay interest.

Does the license mean Qivalis is already generating stablecoin revenue?

No. Qivalis has not begun issuing its token, and the verified announcements disclose no stablecoin circulation, transaction revenue or committed payment volumes.

When will Qivalis launch its stablecoin?

Qivalis plans to begin issuance within the coming months following its October 14 authorization. Launch remains subject to the outstanding MiCA requirements, including publication of the white paper.
