Is the Deribit integration complete?

Yes. The operational integration was completed on October 1, more than a year after Coinbase closed its acquisition of Deribit in August 2025.

Orbitrum Investor Impact

Why does the integration matter for Coinbase investors?

It gives Coinbase a unified global derivatives platform that can support more institutional and retail trading activity across options, perpetuals, futures and spot markets. Coinbase's June 2026 filing said the Deribit acquisition was already the main reason institutional transaction revenue increased year over year.

How large is the derivatives business being integrated?

Coinbase said Deribit processed more than $1 trillion in trading volume last year and had more than $30 billion of Bitcoin options open interest as of September 30, 2026.

Are all of the new products available now?

No. Coinbase said Deribit-powered options, spot margin and unified portfolios will roll out in the coming weeks, while U.S. retail options are expected later in 2026 and availability remains subject to jurisdiction and customer eligibility.

What should Coinbase investors watch next?

The key test is whether expanded derivatives access produces sustained trading activity and transaction revenue as new products reach eligible customers. Coinbase has not disclosed an incremental revenue forecast for the completed integration.
