Learn how project research is built. Explore practical guides to due diligence, technical and commercial evidence, sector context and critical reading. Use them to explain your own reasoning or to better understand the work available from experts on Orbitrum.

## Start with your research question

**I am preparing an assessment.** Start with [a first-pass due-diligence method](/academy/general-method/first-pass-project-due-diligence/), then choose the technical, commercial or sector-specific question you need to investigate.

**I am reading an assessment.** Start with [interpreting expert disagreement](/academy/critical-reading/interpreting-expert-disagreement/), then use the [annotated NVIDIA filing case](/academy/applied-cases/nvidia-filing-analysis/) to practice distinguishing a source from an interpretation.

## Six learning tracks

### General method

Define the question, organize the evidence and write a conclusion with clear limits.

[Explore General method](/academy/general-method/) - [Read the first-pass due-diligence guide](/academy/general-method/first-pass-project-due-diligence/).

### Sector analysis

Adapt the questions to the product, customer and operating environment. Begin with robotics.

[Explore Sector analysis](/academy/sector-analysis/) - [Read the robotics company guide](/academy/sector-analysis/robotics-company-due-diligence/).

### Technical analysis

Examine product performance and readiness. This track concerns technology assessment, not trading charts.

[Explore Technical analysis](/academy/technical-analysis/) - [Read the demo-versus-deployment guide](/academy/technical-analysis/demo-vs-deployable-product/).

### Commercial analysis

Check definitions, customer evidence and cohorts before relying on a traction headline.

[Explore Commercial analysis](/academy/commercial-analysis/) - [Read the traction evidence guide](/academy/commercial-analysis/startup-traction-evidence/).

### Critical reading

Compare the scope, assumptions, sources and uncertainty behind expert opinions.

[Explore Critical reading](/academy/critical-reading/) - [Read the expert-disagreement guide](/academy/critical-reading/interpreting-expert-disagreement/).

### Applied cases

See how the method works on a dated, identifiable source, with calculations and unanswered questions kept separate.

[Explore Applied cases](/academy/applied-cases/) - [Read the NVIDIA filing example](/academy/applied-cases/nvidia-filing-analysis/).

## How to use the Academy

The guides are free to read. Each lesson includes a direct explanation, a practical worksheet or example, and source references. Follow the steps alongside material you are authorized to access; a worksheet does not grant access to private company information.

Use [Sectors](/sectors/) to discover projects, [project profiles](/) to find public information and [expert profiles](/?mode=experts) to explore available work. Research access depends on the expert's offer. Academy is not a promise that every project has a complete public due-diligence file.

## Sources and editorial approach

Academy is source-based educational writing prepared for Orbitrum with AI assistance. References include scientific publications, official reports and institutional guidance. Each guide distinguishes findings from proposed learning methods and clearly labels fictional examples.

A recent empirical study, an official framework, an issuer filing and a scientific Comment provide different kinds of evidence. Older sources are retained when they supply a relevant foundation; they are not described as recent experiments. A source citation does not imply that its publisher endorses Orbitrum.

No named expert is presented as the author or reviewer unless they actually contributed or reviewed the guide. The applied NVIDIA case is Academy material, not an attributed expert evaluation or a platform score.

## What this Academy does not provide

These guides help readers organize questions and assess evidence. They are not personalized investment, legal, tax or safety advice. They do not certify a project, forecast returns or replace qualified professional assessment. A technology result, a commercial metric and an investment decision remain different questions.
